About the Event

Self-Reclaimed offers trauma-informed yoga to help you develop the sense of safety in your body and peace in your mind. Whether beginning or experienced with yoga, many people notice that their self-awareness and self-regulation deepens through our classes. We offer clear and trauma-informed techniques that help you develop the ability to relax and focus on energy sensations, bringing your mind into a state of peace and centeredness.


About Gabriela:

Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago and has been working with diverse populations that have experienced complex trauma for 12 years. They received training in Psychologically Sensitive Trauma-Informed Yoga from Room to Breathe and Transcending Sexual Trauma Through Yoga from Zabie Yamasaki. Currently, they are completing their Somatic Attachment Therapy Certificate from global leaders in body-based trauma healing to support profound & empowering healing relationships with self and others.

About Karen:

Karen is a Thai massage therapist, sound healer, yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. She facilitates groups as well as personalized healing sessions. SR's mission to provide care, education and resources to those in need is what drew her in. She believes that trauma does not define the person. She believes in SR's programs to really help support a person to move forward into an empowered place creating such a positive impact in the world. Being a part of SR, she hopes to create safe spaces that provide healing for the collective, through holistic health and well-being.
