CARE GUIDE

CLINICAL TEAM

The Care Guide is a licensed mental health professional who will assist members in Self-Reclaimed’s Care Guidance service to getting connected with appropriate resources required for their healing journey (i.e. mental health, medication management, & legal and medical advocacy). Care Guides are responsible for consulting & conducting intake assessments with members, determining their needs, developing care plans (termed “Healing Journey Itinerary”), providing psychoeducation, and providing sustainable means of tracking progress.

SPRING INTERNSHIPS

Self-Reclaimed is seeking an individual who is creative and passionate about serving survivors in their healing journeys. You will have the opportunity to learn about the power of community healing, how to impact change on a macro level, and approaches rooted in trauma & culturally-informed practices. At Self-Reclaimed, your career breakthroughs will not only change the future of community healing but ignite growth in yourself. You’ll be inspired while inspiring people across the world to reflect upon and improve how they create safe spaces for survivors to thrive. The Self-Reclaimed Internships are unpaid internships.

PROGRAM INTERNSHIP

Self-Reclaimed aims to motivate a trauma-informed data-driven culture to support survivors on their healing journey through our Survivor Programs and Community Partnership Programs. Therefore, program interns are responsible for 
 

  • contributing field research findings to improve program quality, 

  • carrying out/supporting/delivering program initiatives, 

  • conducting participation analysis of program objectives

    • implementation of the community needs assessment, pre-survey, and post-survey with response rates of 75% or higher of the total members of the target group, reporting on significant findings, and conversion metrics.

  • networking and maintaining relationships with community leaders, 

  • engaging with survivors to participate in programming, and 

  • creating a collaborative program initiative project. 
     

Other duties may include data collection and maintenance. The intern will have the opportunity to work with our Executive Director, Program Director, Marketing Director, Program Team, and Communications Team, as well as receive required trainings such as: trauma-informed approaches, cultural humility, empowerment based-language, effective feedback communication, and education on the bio/psycho/social approach & resilience model.

COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP

Self-Reclaimed aims to motivate a mission-driven, trauma-informed culture to support survivors on their healing journey through our Survivor Programs and Community Partnership Programs. Therefore, communication interns are responsible for 
 

  • Generate market landscape for survivor and community programs 

  • Create and develop graphic design solutions, from concept to completion, for a wide range of graphic applications including brand identity, websites, social, packaging and interactive environments

  • Light animation and video editing, primarily for social media posts (Instagram posts & stories, Facebook, & LinkedIn)

  • Act as brand advocate to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all graphic applications

  • Manage multiple projects at once while owning the delivery of design outputs
